Samoon/Iraqi Bread
- 2 1/2 ts Instant yeast
- 1/2 warm water
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 5 1/2 cup cup flour
- 1 ts salt
- 2 cups water
Preparation :
- In a large bowl mixed yeast,sugar and warm water and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Add in flour,salt and water, mixed till all the mixture well Incorporated.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 6 to 8 minutes, adding more flour if necessary, until the dough is smooth and elastic. Put the dough into a large oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap
- let the dough rest for about 1 hour or 2 hours.
- Shape dough into small ball or any desirable shape and line it on the baking tray.
- Sprinkle or spray the dough with some water and toss some sesame seed on top.
- Let it rest for another 30 minuter or double
- Preheat oven for 230c
- Bake the bread for 10 - 12 minutes.
